Chase & Penny came to us looking to develop the brand for their surfwear start up. They wanted to challenge the major industry players such as Quiksilver and Billabong by targeting a more trend aware audience.

We wanted to avoid creating a ‘hipster’ brand, we always try to create brands that will survive trends. We steered Chase & Penny away from that and instead created their Waverpersand™ the custom ampersand that is used throughout their visual identity. While we also created a brand story that resonated with the great 60’s surf companies but with a modern edge.
